Robber Chanties oust Orlando Gariseb in Khorixas derby

Robber Chanties Football Club on Tuesday outplayed their counterparts Orlando Gariseb in a fierce Khorixas derby that ended with a 3-0 scoreline, which allowed the former to retain its top spot in group two of the Kunene Football Transitional League (KFTL).

During round three of the KFTL fixtures on Tuesday, Outjo-based Young Eagles could not make their home advantage count as they were defeated 2-0 by Khaibasen Football Club at the Etoshapoort stadium. That match was followed by a 1-1 draw between Sixty Eleven and Outjo Football Academy in the Outjo derby, while Black Africa Warriors were humbled at home by Pubs Football Club with a 3-2 margin.

Other Tuesday fixtures saw Green Dangers playing to a 0-0 draw against Revengers, followed by a 1-1 draw between Etosha United and Opuwo-based outfit Kunene NamPol.

All teams have thus far played three games, with Pubs Football Club leading group one by seven points, followed by Khaibasen on six points, with Outjo Football Academy in third with five points, while Young Eagles and Sixty Eleven are yet to record wins and are sitting at the bottom with only one point each.

Rober Chanties, having started off the league on a clean slate, leads group two by seven points, followed by Kunene NamPol with five points, Etosha United on four points, Green Dangers and Orlando Gariseb on three points, while Revengers are yet to record a win are at the bottom of the log standings with one point.
