Antananarivo: The Southern African Development Community (SADC) will hold its 45th Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government in Antananarivo, Madagascar on 17 August 2025. The summit will take place under the theme 'Advancing industrialisation, agricultural transformation, and energy transition for a resilient SADC.' The annual gathering establishes the strategic priorities for regional cooperation, integration, and development within SADC.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the summit will concentrate on accelerating regional integration through three key areas-strengthening industrial capacity and regional value chains, modernising agriculture, and promoting an inclusive energy transition. These efforts are all geared towards building a resilient, sustainable, and cohesive SADC region.
