Windhoek: Telecom Namibia's board of directors has extended the acting appointment of Armando Perny as Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a further six months. Perny will continue to lead the company from 01 August 2026 to 31 January 2027.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the extension aims to ensure continuity in the company's leadership while it continues implementing its strategic priorities, improving operational performance, and delivering reliable telecommunications services across Namibia. The statement highlighted Perny's role in providing leadership and oversight across the business, supporting the company's ongoing transformation initiatives and commitment to service excellence.

The board expressed confidence in the leadership team's ability to continue implementing Telecom Namibia's strategic objectives, with a focus on enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, innovation, and stakeholder value. The company remains committed to strengthening its network infrastructure, expanding digital connectivity, and supporting Namibia's socio-economic development through telecommunications and information and communication technology (ICT) services.

Telecom Namibia also noted that further updates regarding the process to appoint a substantive chief executive officer would be communicated in due course.
