Central Volleyball Association (CVA) Leagues action took centre stage over the past weekend as both men’s and women’s teams took part in the third round of the 2022 season.

The games started on 30 March with the University of Namibia (UNAM) Ladies Volleyball Club (VC) facing their rivals Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) with the former by three sets to one (3-1) at the UNAM Gym Hall.

In the second match, Khomas NamPol Volleyball Club (KNVC) lost at home to Kudos by the same scoreline at the Israel Patrick Iyambo courts.

The match between UNAM and KNVC men’s team on Thursday was postponed due to the unavailability of the university team.

On Saturday, 10 games took place at the two venues, with Afrocat Ladies team losing to their KNVC counterparts by a 3-1 margin.

Revivals beat both NUST and Afrocat by 3-0, while the Namibia Defence Force team (NDF) scored a similar victory over UNAM at UNAM.

At the same venue, Kudos completed a miserable day for UNAM by beating them 3-0 to complete the weekend fixtures for the ladies’ teams.

In the men’s leagues, NDF A beat NUST 3-0, while KVNC won by a similar scoreline over Afrocat C at the Israel Patrick Iyambo courts.

At the UNAM Gym, Kings and Heritage played an exciting match, with Kings winning 3-1.

Kudos then beat Heritage by 3-0 while UNAM accounted for Kings 3-0 in the last match of the day.

There are no fixtures scheduled for the next two weeks as the annual Doc Tournament takes place in Swakopmund on 08 and 09 April.

No fixtures are scheduled for the Easter Weekend.
