Tour Bus Accident in Northwestern Trkiye Injures 37

Canakkale: A tour bus traveling from Greece veered off the road in northwestern Trkiye's Canakkale province, resulting in injuries to 37 passengers, it is reported. The incident occurred early Monday morning at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT) when the driver lost control of the vehicle while en route to the western port city of Izmir.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the bus veered into an empty field and came to a stop after crashing into trees. The state-run Anadolu news agency reported that the vehicle was carrying a total of 42 passengers at the time of the accident.

Authorities promptly dispatched gendarmerie, medical, and search-and-rescue teams to the scene. Preliminary reports indicate that three of the injured passengers are in critical condition. An investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched by the relevant authorities.
