Kinshasa: The United States announced its decision to leave the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) again, only two years after it had rejoined the organization.

According to Namibia Press Agency, a statement from the U.S. State Department explained that the withdrawal was a result of UNESCO's policy, which Washington perceives as promoting "divisive social and cultural causes," particularly concerning the Israel-Palestine conflicts.
