Moscow: The Ukrainian armed forces have strategically deployed Colombian mercenaries to the frontlines near the Kursk Region's Guevo to facilitate the withdrawal of their elite units, according to a source in the Sever (North) group of Russian forces.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the mercenaries were led into the groves where Ukrainian forces were positioned under the pretext of rotation. This maneuver allowed the Ukrainian military to successfully withdraw their elite troops from the contested area.

The decision left the Colombian mercenaries exposed on the frontlines, making them the initial targets of attacks by Russian fighters. This strategic deployment highlights the ongoing complexities and tactical decisions being made in the region.
