Vientiane: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted the Chile-Argentina border region at 0933 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences reported.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the epicenter of the quake was determined to have a depth of 141.9 kilometers. The coordinates of the epicenter were initially recorded at 23.48 degrees south latitude and 67.76 degrees west longitude.
The GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences provided the information regarding the occurrence and specifics of the earthquake. At this point, there are no reports of damages or casualties from the affected region.
