Caracas: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Venezuela at 0655 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the epicenter of the earthquake was determined to be at a depth of 10.0 km. The location was pinpointed at 9.76 degrees north latitude and 70.73 degrees west longitude, indicating the precise area affected by the seismic activity.
