Tashkent: Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin engaged in a telephone conversation to discuss enhancing trade and economic cooperation, as reported by the press service of the Uzbek president.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the dialogue between the two leaders focused on strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations within the framework of their comprehensive strategic partnership. The conversation emphasized the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level, particularly in the trade and economic sectors.
The leaders underscored the importance of sustained coordination and interdepartmental cooperation to boost trade turnover. They also discussed promoting industrial cooperation projects in priority sectors, fostering more productive regional contacts, and enhancing cultural, humanitarian, and educational exchanges.
Additionally, Mirziyoyev and Putin exchanged views on their respective international agendas and reviewed their schedules for upcoming events.
