Vries only change as Warriors face Senegal

Swallows goalkeeper Virgil Vries is the only change to the starting lineup as the Tafel Lager Brave Warriors faces Senegal in Thies in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Saturday in Senegal.

Vries returns to the team after he missed the first two matches of the qualifiers due to COVID-19 protocols and makes a welcome return to the lineup, replacing Lodyt Kazapua in goal.

Last time out Namibia drew with Congo in Johannesburg and then won 1-0 away at Togo to on four points, two behind Group H leaders Senegal.

Earlier on Saturday, Togo and Congo played to a one-all draw ahead of the Senegal vs Namibia clash.

Captain Peter Shalulile leads the line with Elmo Kambindu while in midfield, Denzil Haoseb and Wesley Katjiteo dictates the orchestra with support from Deon Hotto and Absalom Iimbondi.

Kambindu wears the legendary jersey number 10 from his regular 22, as he looks for inspiration yet again.

The fast improving and reliable Ivan Kamberipa continues to get the nod ahead of veteran Larry Horaeb at right back while Chsles Hambira and Ananias Gebhardt continues to form an enviable central defence pairing.

Riaan Hanamub also retains his position at left back as the namibains looks to upstage Senegal in front of their about 2000 supporters, including legends such as El Hadji Diouf.
