A 45-year-old woman was allegedly raped and killed at the Tsumkwe Settlement in the Otjozondjupa Region on Friday morning.

Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson in the region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha, in an interview with Nampa on Saturday said the deceased has been identified by her relatives as /Koce /Ukxa from the Tsumkwe settlement.

According to Mbeha, /Ukxa’s lifeless body was allegedly found half naked at about 08h00 on Friday morning in the bushes of the settlement.

“Consequently, two Namibian men aged 30 and 27 were arrested on the same day in connection with the matter on charges of rape and murder,” she said.

The two are expected to appear in the Tsumkwe Periodical Court on Monday, Mbeha added.

Police investigations in the matter continue.
