Woman Electrocuted at Guesthouse in Kavango West Region

Kavango West: A 40-year-old woman was electrocuted while taking a bath at a guesthouse in Katara village in the Kavango West Region on Wednesday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga confirmed the incident, identifying the deceased as Maria Nepemba Katega, a teacher at Elia Combined School. The tragic event occurred between 06h00 and 08h00 on Wednesday.

Muronga stated that Katega was attending a workshop being held at the guesthouse. Her body was transported to the Nkurenkuru police mortuary, where an autopsy will be conducted.

The authorities have informed her next of kin, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
