Otjiwarongo:The lifeless body of 34-year-old Kamilla Tracey Riekerts was discovered on Wednesday inside a flat in the Extension 6 residential area of Otjiwarongo.

According to NAMPA, a media statement issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, revealed that the deceased was found with multiple stab wounds to the chest and back. A knife, suspected to have been used in the attack, was found lodged in her chest.

Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that Riekerts was last seen with her ex-boyfriend on 24 October 2026 at approximately 12h00. It is alleged that he picked her up and took her to his flat.

The suspect was later observed leaving the flat and driving towards Swakopmund. On 25 October 2026, at about 06h08, he reportedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving truck approximately 15 kilometres from Swakopmund toward Arandis.

Riekerts' close relatives have been informed of her death, and police investigations are ongoing.
