Afghanistan’s Trade Volume Increases by 30 Percent in Past Six Months

Afghanistan: Afghanistan's trade volume reached 6.783 billion U.S. dollars in the past six months with a 30-percent increase year-on-year, local media outlet TOLOnews reported on Thursday. The country's primary export commodities include raisins, figs, cotton, apricots, saffron, pistachios, grapes, beverages, and other agricultural products.

According to Namibia Press Agency, these goods are primarily exported to China, India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iraq. Exports during this period totaled 748 million dollars, up 9 percent year-on-year, according to the report.
