Hanoi: The apartment prices in Vietnam are likely to continue to soar in 2025, Vietnam News Agency on Wednesday cited the forecast made by the Ministry of Construction.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Vietnam Association of Realtors projects that apartment prices across the country will remain elevated in 2025. The majority of new supply is expected to come from large urban areas on the outskirts, with most properties falling into the premium or luxury categories. Consequently, affordable housing options will largely be confined to social housing.

The association's experts anticipate that the apartment market will continue to dominate transaction volume in 2025. However, sales of older apartments may decrease, as their prices are now considered inflated compared to their actual market value.

The Institute of Construction Economics forecasts that housing transactions in Vietnam in 2025 will be more active than in 2024, with prices anticipated to rise by 8 percent to 10 percent year-on-year.

In 2024, apartment prices in the capital Hanoi surged by 40 percent to 50 percent compared to 2023. Meanwhile, the prices in the southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City increased by 20 percent to 30 percent compared to the previous year.
