Windhoek:Bank Windhoek has appointed Zenaune Kamberipa as its Financial Director, with the appointment taking effect on September 25, 2026.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Kamberipa joined Bank Windhoek as Chief Financial Officer in September 2020, bringing with him extensive experience in auditing and financial management within the financial services sector. His career began at Deloitte in South Africa and later Namibia, before he served as Group Financial Manager at the FirstRand Group.
Kamberipa is a chartered accountant, holding a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School.
Johan Swanepoel, the chairperson of Bank Windhoek's board, stated that Kamberipa's appointment is expected to bolster the bank's governance and strategic abilities. Swanepoel emphasized Kamberipa's exceptional technical expertise, sound judgment, and deep understanding of both the banking sector and Bank Windhoek's operations.
The bank also highlighted that Kamberipa's appointment acknowledges his contributions to the institution and aims to enhance its executive-level financial expertise, institutional knowledge, and strategic capacity.
