Windhoek: Leandro Lozano and Miguel Merentiel scored second-half goals as Boca Juniors eased to a 2-0 away win over 10-man San Lorenzo in Argentina's Clausura tournament on Sunday. The hosts were dealt a blow in the 31st minute when Manuel Insaurralde was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Alvaro Montero.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Lozano gave Boca the lead just before the hour when he combined with Leonel Flores before finishing clinically into the bottom-right corner. Merentiel doubled the advantage with a sliding finish at the far post after Lautaro Blanco's cross from the left wing. Boca is now fifth in the 15-team Zone A standings with 17 points, six ahead of 10th-placed San Lorenzo.

In other Argentina top-flight fixtures on Sunday, Rosario Central won 1-0 at home to Argentinos Juniors, Newell's Old Boys edged to a 1-0 away victory over Platense, Belgrano prevailed 2-1 at home to Estudiantes Rio Cuarto, and Velez Sarsfield clinched a 3-2 home win over Tigre.
