Shanghai: Cambodia and Thailand reaffirmed their commitment to abiding by the ceasefire agreement during an informal trilateral meeting with China, as stated on the Chinese foreign ministry's website.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the meeting, held in Shanghai on Wednesday, was attended by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and representatives from Cambodia and Thailand. The gathering emphasized the importance of the ceasefire agreement, with both Cambodia and Thailand expressing their appreciation for China's positive role in calming tensions.

The statement highlighted that the meeting was conducted in a frank, friendly, and harmonious atmosphere. It also reiterated China's constructive support in helping Cambodia and Thailand peacefully resolve their border disputes, marking the latest diplomatic effort by China in this ongoing issue.
