Beijing: Closed exclusivity is not an option for China, and the nation will persist in its efforts to expand high-level opening-up, a foreign ministry spokesperson announced on Friday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, spokesperson Mao Ning addressed the media at a regular press briefing, responding to reports suggesting that China's visa-free policy reflects the country's vitality. This policy stands in contrast to the recent tightening of visa regulations and increasing closure observed in some other nations.
China currently offers unilateral visa exemption to 47 countries and transit visa exemption to 55 countries, Mao highlighted. She emphasized ongoing efforts to simplify the visa application process, including one-stop entry services and instant tax refunds for goods purchased before departing China. "Foreign friends' China tour has become smoother," she remarked.
Mao further stated that "decoupling and disruption of industrial and supply chains and closed exclusivity are not options for China." She affirmed that China will continue its initiatives to enhance high-level opening up, sharing opportunities, and fostering a shared future with all countries.
