Xinjiang: An exhibition dedicated to intangible cultural heritage has commenced in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, underscoring efforts in preservation, inheritance, and collaboration in this sector.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the exhibition is a joint effort by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Xinjiang regional government, and it will run until August 19. It showcases 435 intangible cultural heritage items and involves 383 inheritors from Xinjiang and 25 other provincial-level regions. Notably, 19 of these regions are providing pairing assistance to Xinjiang.

The Yotkan cultural scenic spot in Hotan Prefecture serves as the primary venue for the exhibition, while additional venues throughout Hotan host exhibitions and offer interactive cultural heritage experiences. Since 1997, China has been executing "pairing assistance" programs in Xinjiang, delivering financial, technical, and human resource support from other regions across China.
