Chinese Political Advisors Urged to Contribute to Drafting of 15th Five-Year Plan

Beijing: The Standing Committee of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee commenced its 13th session on Monday to deliberate on the drafting of the 15th Five-Year Plan for the period 2026-2030. Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, presided over the meeting.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting to deliver a report. He emphasized the significant progress made since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, highlighting improvements in China's economic strength, scientific and technological capabilities, and overall national strength.

Vice Premier Ding stressed the importance of thorough analysis and research, coupled with extensive consultation, to gather collective wisdom for drafting a high-quality 15th Five-Year Plan. He pointed out that the plan should set realistic goals and outline tasks that facilitate the implementation of major strategic initiatives, aiming for decisive progress towards achieving socialist modernization.
