Ondjungulume: The Namibian Police Force in the Omusti Region is investigating a tragic incident in which a 38-year-old disabled woman from Ondjungulume village lost her life in a house fire. The fire reportedly broke out on Thursday afternoon, allegedly sparked by a four-year-old child playing with matches.According to Namibia Press Agency, Regional Commander Ismael Basson stated that the incident occurred around 13h00 in the Otamanzi Constituency. The fire is believed to have originated from a bundle of grass inside the house, ignited by the young child.Basson confirmed that the deceased woman, who relied on a wheelchair for mobility, was burned beyond recognition in her sleeping room when the fire consumed the house. The child involved, described as the deceased's cousin, was reportedly living in the same household.Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
