Windhoek: Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) Chief Branding, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer Tim Ekandjo has been named among Africa's 100 most influential marketing leaders in the inaugural Africa Chief Marketing Officer (ACMO100) list.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the ACMO100, launched by Brand Africa in partnership with African Business magazine, MIPAD, and the African Media Agency, recognizes leading marketing, brand, and reputation executives shaping Africa's narrative, identity, and economic growth.

In a statement issued on Monday, it was noted that the list spans 20 countries across six African regions and the diaspora, and is presented alphabetically by country, with all honourees holding equal standing.

Brand Africa Founder and Chairman Thebe Ikalafeng said chief marketing officers and senior brand leaders are among the most influential architects of Africa's future. 'Through strategy, stewardship and influence, they shape narratives, build trust, and guide the preferences of hundreds of millions of people. ACMO100 exists to recognise, celebrate and connect these leaders,' Ikalafeng said.

The honourees will be recognised during Brand Africa Week in Addis Ababa from 22 to 26 May 2026, alongside the unveiling of the Brand Africa 100 | Africa's Best Brands and the Brand Africa Dialogue.

Ekandjo is among 39 honourees from Southern Africa, which leads regional representation, followed by West Africa (20), East Africa (17), North Africa (14), Central Africa (2) and eight from the diaspora.

Brand Africa also introduced the Baobab | ACMO Hall of Fame, which honours legacy leaders whose contributions have had a lasting impact on Africa's brand landscape.
