Namport omaheke: Epukiro Chiefs Football Club, competing in the Namport Omaheke Football Third Division, is determined to secure points in this weekend's matches following a lackluster start to the season. The team faced defeats in their initial league matches against No Mercy FC and Opbouende FC.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the team's head coach, McBride Zuma Hengari, expressed his commitment to improving their performance in the upcoming games. Hengari stated, 'We are prepared, though we started slow. The task ahead needs to be done, which is to win our games this weekend.'
Hengari also highlighted concerns regarding the availability of some players who are school learners. He noted that the potential holiday break for these students could pose challenges for the team. 'This is a bit concerning since the learners might be going on holiday, but we will try our utmost to handle the situation,' he said.
In a call for unity, Hengari urged supporters to rally behind the team to boost morale and help secure a strong finish to the season. 'We have to start that mission early to avoid pressure in the last days of the league,' he added.
