Windhoek: The Ministry of Finance has appointed and reappointed members to the Board of Directors of the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund for a three-year term running from 01 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the ministry announced in a media statement on Wednesday that these appointments were made in accordance with the Public Enterprises Governance Act No. 1 of 2019. Namene Shejavali was reappointed as the board chairperson, while Damien Mabengano was reappointed as the deputy chairperson. Magnus Nangombe was also reappointed to the board.
The new members appointed to the board include Ailly Titus, Charlotte Haingura, Akutu Munyika, and Jauque Jansen. The statement highlighted the Minister of Finance's decision to announce both new appointments and the reappointment of board members under the Public Enterprises Governance Act No. 1 of 2019 for the specified three-year period.
The MVA Fund is responsible for providing benefits and support to individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents in Namibia.
