Windhoek: First National Bank (FNB) of Namibia and the City of Windhoek (CoW) have entered into a workplace banking staffing solutions strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the financial wellbeing and long-term financial security of City employees.
According to Namibia Press Agency, FNB in a media statement noted that the partnership will provide employees with access to tailored financial solutions and financial literacy programmes to help them make informed financial decisions. FNB Namibia Head of Public Sector Banking, Bolle Hans, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving the financial wellbeing of employees who serve Windhoek and its communities.
Hans emphasized that financial empowerment starts with knowledge, highlighting the importance of understanding money management, informed decision-making, and protecting one's financial future. CoW Strategic Executive for Human Capital and Corporate Services Metusalem Archie Nikanor welcomed the partnership, expressing appreciation for the structured approach FNB Namibia has taken in developing solutions tailored to the financial needs of their employees.
FNB highlighted that under the partnership, City employees will have access to financial literacy programmes, preferential home loan rates, personal loans, vehicle and asset finance, as well as banking, savings, investment, insurance, fiduciary, and digital banking solutions. The financial literacy programme will address practical aspects of personal financial management, covering topics such as managing money, debt management, wealth growth, asset protection, and legacy planning.
Hans further added that the initiative extends beyond providing banking products, focusing on equipping employees with the knowledge and confidence to manage financial pressures, including rising living costs and debt obligations. He expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration and the potential benefits for City employees, noting the importance of deriving maximum value from the partnership.
