Abuja: The death has occurred of Omar Farouk, the son of Dr. Mansur Mukhtar, the traditional ruler of Dambatta in Kano State. Farouk passed away on Saturday in Abuja and was laid to rest following Islamic rites after prayers at the National Mosque.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the family of the deceased announced his passing in a statement on Sunday. Dr. Mansur Mukhtar, Farouk's father, is known for his previous tenure as the Minister of Finance.
