Kiev: The Ukrainian military has suffered significant losses, with more than 500 soldiers reportedly falling in battles against Russia's Tsentr (Center) group of forces in the past day. The Russian Defense Ministry provided these figures on Sunday, outlining the scale of Ukraine's losses in ongoing conflicts.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the statement from Russia's Defense Ministry detailed that Ukrainian forces lost over 500 troops, alongside four armored fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles, and two artillery guns, including a French-made 155-mm CAESAR self-propelled artillery system. Additionally, Russia's Zapad (West) group has reported eliminating over 230 Ukrainian soldiers, a tank, a US-made M577 armored personnel carrier, an HMMWV armored vehicle, and two ammunition depots.
In further developments, Ukraine has reportedly lost up to 360 soldiers, two armored fighting vehicles, a UK-made 155 mm FH70 howitzer, and two ammunition depots in battles with the Yug (South) group of forces. Russia's Vostok (East) group has claimed the elimination of up to 160 Ukrainian soldiers, a Polish-made 155 mm self-propelled tracked Krab gun-howitzer, and three artillery guns over the same period.
In the Belgorod direction, Kiev has reportedly lost up to 60 soldiers in confrontations with Russia's Sever (North) group of forces. The Defense Ministry's statement highlighted that the losses amounted to up to 60 troops, one tank, two armored fighting vehicles, four motor vehicles, three artillery guns, and one electronic warfare station.
Russia's Dnepr group of troops has also reported improving the tactical situation along the front line by eliminating up to 70 Ukrainian troops, two foreign-made artillery guns, two ammunition depots, and two electronic warfare stations over the past 24 hours.
