Windhoek: Police in the Oshikoto Region are investigating a rape case, after a 62-year-old man allegedly raped his 14-year-old niece between August 2026 and September 2026.

According to Namibia Press Agency, a police report issued on Sunday by Namibian Police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, stated that the rape incidents occurred repeatedly at Okandjeke village. It was alleged that the suspect entered the victim's room at night, where he raped her. The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.

In a related incident in Omuntele, police are searching for a 21-year-old man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl on Friday. No arrest has been made yet, and the accused is still at large. Police investigations are ongoing, as confirmed by Shikwambi.
