Windhoek: Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) says it has strengthened its enterprise technology capabilities after attaining official registration as a Huawei Enterprise Partner, a move it said aimed at expanding digital solutions for businesses and institutions in Namibia.

According to Namibia Press Agency, MTC in a media statement on Monday said the partnership grants it access to Huawei's enterprise portfolio, including connectivity solutions, cloud technologies, digital infrastructure and business transformation platforms.

MTC Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer Tim Ekandjo said the development enhances the company's ability to deliver technology solutions that respond to the evolving needs of Namibian businesses. 'This new development expands our partnership and allows MTC to have access to Huawei's globally recognised enterprise portfolio,' he said.

Ekandjo noted that MTC remains committed to driving Namibia's digital economy by strengthening support for key sectors such as government, mining, oil and gas, financial services and the broader corporate market. He added that the partnership increases MTC's capacity to design, deploy and innovate enterprise solutions, thereby improving competitiveness in the sector.

According to Ekandjo, the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing Namibia's digital transformation and sustainable economic development by combining MTC's local market expertise with Huawei's global technology capabilities. 'This development is aligned with MTC's ambition and efforts of becoming a trusted end-to-end technology partner for Enterprises across Namibia,' Ekandjo added.

As Namibia advances its digital transformation agenda, MTC said it will continue investing in strategic partnerships and innovative technologies to empower businesses, strengthen industries and contribute to long-term socio-economic development.
