T13 Paralympic sprinter Johannes Nambala on Sunday missed out on a medal after finishing last in the final of the men ' s T13 100 - metre race at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games . Nambala was the only Namibian athlete who participated on day three of the track and field events at the Stade de France in Paris . The Namibian sprinter reached the final after clocking a seasonal best time of 11 . 10 seconds . However , in the final , Algerian sprinter and 100m world champion Skander Djamil Athmani , who ran a time of 10 . 51 seconds in the heats , was crowned champion after defeating world record holder Salum Ageze Kashafali of Norway . Athmani won the race with a new Paralympic Record time of 10 . 42 seconds , while Kashafali clocked a seasonal best of 10 . 47 seconds . Out of the eight athletes that competed in the final , only Nambala clocked a time over 11 seconds , although he ran a seasonal best of 11 . 09 seconds . The former World Para Athletics Championship and Paralympic Games medallist is expected to compete in the 400m sprint later in the competition . Other Namibians competing on Monday , day four of the championships , will be Paris 2024 Paralympic Games 400m gold medallist Lahja Ishitile and her guide Sem Shimanda , who will run in the T11 100m heats at 12h18 Namibian time . Team Namibia has won a gold medal at the championships through T11 female sprinter Ishitile and her guide Shimanda . At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games , Team Namibia returned with two medals - one silver and one bronze won by Ananias Shikongo and Johannes Nambala , respectivelySource: The Namibia News Agency
