The Ugandan netball team ‘She-Cranes’ ran havoc on the Namibian Desert Jewels during their third match of the African Netball Cup currently underway in Windhoek, Namibia.

A week ago, Uganda beat Namibia 37-56 at the DebMarine Pent Series, a competition they won without dropping points to any opponents.

The seventh-ranked team in the world continued with their impressive form as they once again beat Namibia 36-62 in their African Netball Cup encounter.

Namibia started the game well but a mistake during one of the turnovers saw Uganda taking the lead which ended the first quarter with Uganda leading the game.

Despite Uganda being the more dominant outfit, the two teams put up a great show in the opening 12 minutes of the first quarter with goals scored from both sides of the hops as both shooters were on top of their game.

The quarter ended 14-17 for Uganda.

The second quarter saw the She Cranes up the tempo of the game with their goal scorer being on a happy scoring mode converting every opportunity that was availed to her but the Namibian team managed to contain some of their opponents’ fast pace and used opportunities created to score a couple of goals to end the quarter with a six-point gap.

The quarter ended 24-30 for Uganda.

In the third quarter team Namibia had lack of concentration losing most of their turnovers which allowed Uganda to run away on the score board converting most of their turnover balls.

Team Namibia was restricted to scoring three points in the opening 12 minutes of the quarter while Uganda scored 16 points.

The Ugandan steam train was at its peak playing fastball which the Namibian team struggled to contain and that quarter ended with Uganda leading with 10 points at 33-43.

The fourth quarter saw fatigue kicking in for the Namibian team and they failed to capitalise from any of their turnovers as well as made a lot of unforced errors and the more experienced Uganda ran away with the game which ended with a 26 points difference of a 36-62 score.

Other games saw South Africa dominating Tanzania with a 79-22 win and Zambia beating Botswana 62-42.
