Nandi Ndaitwah Extends Condolences After Uerikua’s Passing

Windhoek: President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah extended condolences to the family and loved ones of Swapo Member of Parliament (MP) James Uerikua and his son, who died in a car accident on the Otjiwarongo-Okakarara road on Friday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, President Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed her profound sadness upon learning of the tragedy that claimed both Uerika and his son's lives. She offered deepest condolences on behalf of the Government and the people of Namibia to his family, loved ones, comrades in Swapo, colleagues in the National Assembly, and all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Nandi-Ndaitwah described the late Uerikua as a young and promising leader whose passing represents a significant loss to the nation. She emphasized the need for the energy, clarity, and commitment of Namibia's finest individuals and lamented the loss of such a bright light at this time.

She also expressed concern for others injured in the accident, conveying the government's thoughts and prayers for their recovery. She assured them of solidarity as they receive care and support, while expressing unity with the bereaved family, the Swapo Party, and all those mourning the untimely passing.
