Windhoek: The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) has announced the appointment of Mtundeni Ndafyaalako as Acting Managing Director, effective 01 March 2026. Ndafyaalako steps into the role following the conclusion of Maureen Hinda-Mbuende's tenure on 28 February 2026, after serving six months at the Corporation. Previously, Ndafyaalako held the position of Executive for Upstream Development and Production at Namcor.According to NAMPA, Namcor's spokesperson, Utaara Hoveka, revealed that the recruitment process for a permanent Managing Director is still underway. Hoveka commended Hinda-Mbuende for her leadership and contributions towards advancing Namcor's strategic objectives and operational priorities during her time as Managing Director.Ndafyaalako began his career with Namcor as a Geoscientist in 2018. With nearly twenty years of experience in the oil and gas industry, both within Namibia and internationally, he brings a wealth of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and leadership e xperience to the role. Hoveka expressed the Board's confidence in Ndafyaalako's ability to provide continuity and maintain the company's momentum in fulfilling its mandate.
