Windhoek: The Ministry of Finance has announced the appointment of a new Board of Directors for the Agricultural Bank of Namibia (Agribank) for a three-year term, effective 01 April 2026.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the ministry stated in a media release on Wednesday that the appointments were made in accordance with the Public Enterprises Governance Act No. 1 of 2019. The new board will be led by Sylvia Makgone as chairperson, with Adrianus Vugs, Foibe Fabiano, Kakujaha Matundu, and Victoria Mbunje serving as other members.

The statement from the Minister of Finance highlighted the new appointments and reappointment of board members under the Public Enterprises Governance Act No. 1 of 2019. The board's tenure is set from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.
