Windhoek: The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), in collaboration with PwC Namibia, launched a guide designed to assist both local and international investors in navigating Namibia's tax environment.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the NIPDB revealed in a media statement that the "Namibia Investment Guide: Tax Laws in Namibia, Volume 5" provides a comprehensive overview of the country's tax framework and essential compliance requirements for businesses looking to invest, operate, and expand in Namibia. NIPDB Acting Chief Executive Officer Julia Muetudhana emphasized that the guide aims to offer investors credible and accessible information, helping them make informed decisions and reduce uncertainty as they enter the Namibian market.

PwC Namibia's Country Senior Partner and Tax Leader, Chantell Husselmann, highlighted the importance of having access to reliable information as Namibia positions itself as a destination for investment and economic growth. Husselmann noted that the guide equips investors with essential knowledge of Namibia's tax landscape, enabling them to make informed decisions and minimize uncertainty.

According to NIPDB, the tax guide is part of the broader Namibia Investment Guide series, developed in collaboration with both public and private-sector institutions. To date, six volumes have been developed, covering various aspects such as Namibia's country profile, investment climate, starting and operating a business, and banking and foreign currency regulations. NIPDB further mentioned that these guides will be distributed through Namibia's diplomatic missions and other institutional networks to support investment promotion and economic diplomacy.
