Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) has announced that all 7 500 vouchers allocated under its Black Friday promotion were sold out within the first eight hours of sales.

Vouchers went on sale on 25 November and will remain on the market until 01 December.

NWR Manager for Corporate Communications, Nelson Ashipala told Nampa on Monday that as part of a strategy to stimulate local and SADC tourism, NWR placed a total of 7 500 vouchers for its Eco and Classic resorts, with prices starting at N.dollars 600 for Classic and N.dollars 1 200 for Eco.

He stated that the hospitality group now plans to add another 1 333 vouchers for Classic and 167 vouchers for Eco resorts to accommodate Namibians who missed out on the opportunity the first time around.

“It has always been my hope that Namibians will be the first to enjoy our newly renovated resorts. When the majority of the renovations are completed by January of next year, I am excited that Namibians will be the first to experience the new look and feel. This also emphasises what we already know. Locals are eager to travel. However, the costs have been so high that travel has become impossible. Now is a fantastic opportunity,” he enthused.

Ashipala noted that the Black Friday vouchers are valid from 05 December until the end of April 2023, and NWR would like to encourage all who received the vouchers to use them as soon as possible to avoid last-minute bookings and possibly no space.
