OATF Provides Growth Platform for Small Businesses

Ongwediva: Exhibitors at the 25th Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) have described the event as an important platform for business growth, marketing, and skills development. Among those showcasing their products and services is first-time exhibitor Green Pasture Investment CC, a vegetable farming enterprise based in Ondangwa with its main branch in Otjiwarongo.

According to Namibia Press Agency, company representative Patricia Ushona expressed gratitude for the exposure the OATF has provided, helping Green Pasture Investment CC increase visibility and attract new customers. Ushona emphasized the opportunity the fair presents for small businesses to market themselves and expressed hopes of securing supply agreements with larger companies as production and demand for their products grow.

Magdalena Shihepo-Luaanda, another exhibitor showcasing traditional goods, thanked the OATF for providing a platform that her late mother also had access to. She noted the importance of the event in growing connections and generating income to support her family, highlighting that sales extend beyond the trade fair.

Martin Brave Shipanga, who has been involved in the annual trade fair for over a decade, shared how the event has helped him develop entrepreneurial and communication skills. Shipanga expressed his intention to continue participating in the trade fair to further improve his business and other skills.

The 25th Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, which opened on Friday, has attracted 457 exhibitors from Namibia and internationally. It provides a platform for businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors to showcase products and explore new opportunities. The event is set to close on 29 August.
