Ongwediva: The 25th edition of the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair commenced on Friday, featuring participation from 457 exhibitors, including 36 from nine African countries.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the African countries represented at the fair are South Africa, Angola, Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Tanzania, and Kenya. Speaking to Nampa on Friday, Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair Marketing Convener, Lonia Nghuulikwa, stated that preparations began immediately after the conclusion of the 2025 event, which helped organizers avoid usual last-minute challenges.
This year's fair is held under the theme 'A Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Economy' and introduces several new activities. These include a half-marathon, fireworks display, business-to-business networking sessions, and exhibitors' awards. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is scheduled to officially open the trade fair on Sunday.
The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair is recognized as one of Namibia's largest business and exhibition events, drawing exhibitors and visitors from across the country, the African continent, and beyond. The event runs until 29 August.
