The Okakarara Annual Trade Fair, which was suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 outbreak, is scheduled to resume, with the 2022 edition set for September.

Okakarara Town Council Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ernst Katjiku, who is also the chairperson of the trade fair society, told Nampa in a telephonic interview on Thursday that the fair will take place from 05 until 10 September at the Okakarara Trade Fair Centre.

“We are kicking off with it by hosting a gala dinner Thursday night (04 August 2022), where we will raise funds that we can use to support the preparations for another decent and reputable trade fair for our local and international exhibitors,” said Katjiku.

The CEO stated that the actual exhibition days for goods, services and livestock promotion are between 05 and 10 September, while the official opening is planned for 07 September.
