OSHAKATI: A 65 – year – old man was arrested after he was allegedly caught with containers of diesel at Ondjondjo village on the Okatana – Endola main road . Chief Inspector Thomas Aiyambo of the Namibian Police Force Community Policing Sub – division said the suspect was arrested around 23h55 on Saturday . ‘ It is alleged that the suspect was found driving a Toyota Hilux 2 . 8 GD – 6 Legend 50 with Oshakati registration , loaded with four 25L containers full of diesel , without any permit ,’ he said . He added that they also confiscated two empty 25L containers , and the value of the confiscated goods are yet to be determined . Aiyambo indicated that the suspect is formally charged and will appear before the Oshakati Magistrate ‘ s Court this week . Police investigation continues.
