Police nab alleged drug dealers

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) at Swakopmund on Friday arrested two men after they were reportedly found in possession of drugs.

According to the NamPol weekend crime report issued Monday, the drugs included mandrax tablets, two grams of mandrax powder and seven parcels of cannabis of 11 grams with a value of N.dollars 320.

The duo, both Namibian and aged 23 and 25, were arrested in Mondesa’s Waterberg Street during a stop and search.

On the same day in the DRC informal settlement, also in Swakopmund, the police arrested a 23-year-old Namibian woman for alleged possession of 75 grams of cannabis valued at N.dollars 3 750.

Meanwhile, the police at Nkurenkuru in the Kavango West Region also arrested a 45-year-old Namibian male suspect after he was allegedly found in possession of 13 parcels of cannabis on Friday.

The value of the cannabis was N.dollars 274.

Police investigations in all matters continue.
