Tsumkwe: The special voting for the Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections commenced on time at the Tsumkwe Secondary School's polling station in the Tsumkwe Constituency.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the station's presiding officer, Sydney Coma, reported that despite the timely opening, no voters had arrived by the time of the interview. Coma stated, "We opened our polling at 09h00 but so far, no voter has arrived yet," while expressing hope that voters would turn up as the day progressed.

Coma urged constituents to exercise their right to vote, emphasizing the importance of participation. The Tsumkwe polling station is the sole location in the constituency that opened for special voting on Monday.

The station will remain operational until 19h00 to accommodate voters. The special elections are designated for police officers and Electoral Commission of Namibia's polling officials who will be stationed outside their constituencies during the main election scheduled for Wednesday, 26 November.
