Walvis bay: The Electoral Commission of Namibia has declared the final results for the 2025 Regional Council election in the Daures Constituency, Erongo Region, with the Swapo Party emerging victorious.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Inecia Theresia Brandt of the Swapo Party received a total of 1,660 votes, securing a decisive win in the election. The United Democratic Front's candidate, Gerhardt Amingo Honneb, followed with 1,134 votes. Independent candidate Abiud Uaja Rukundji Karongee garnered 1,081 votes, while the Independent Patriots for Change's Rudolph Rheinhardt Dankey Tsibeb received 224 votes. Protasius Ngatjiheue of the Popular Democratic Movement collected 82 votes. The election also recorded 28 rejected ballots.

The results reflect the political preferences in the Daures Constituency, further solidifying the Swapo Party's influence in the region.
