Omuthiya: The police in the Oshikoto Region arrested a 38 – year – old woman after she was allegedly found in possession of illicit goods worth N . dollars 44 600 at the Oshivelo check point . Namibian Police Force ( NamPol ) regional commander Theopoline Kalompho – Nashikaku told Nampa the incident occurred around 12h00 on Thursday , when the woman was found in possession of ‘ Yes ‘ cigarettes . ‘ It is alleged that during a stop and search , the suspect was found in possession of the illicit goods ,’ Kalompho – Nashikaku said . The woman was a passenger in a minibus travelling from northern Namibia to Windhoek and allegedly had 223 boxes of ‘ Yes ‘ cigarettes in her possession . She is set to appear in the Tsumeb Magistrate ‘ s Court on Monday .
