Burnley: Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following allegations that he spat towards Leeds United supporters during last month's Premier League match at Turf Moor. The incident reportedly took place while the former Manchester United player was warming up on the touchline, despite him entering the game as a substitute in the 83rd minute of Burnley's 2-0 win over Leeds on October 18.According to Namibia Press Agency, the 22-year-old Tunisia international is facing serious allegations, prompting an investigation by Lancashire Police after a complaint was made by a Leeds supporter in the away section of the ground. An official statement from the FA asserts, "It is alleged the player acted in breach of the laws of the game and/or in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or indecent behaviour by spitting at or in the direction of Leeds United supporters around the 67th minute."Mejbri, who switched to Burnley from Manchester United in August 20 24 for a transfer fee of up to 9.4 million pounds, has been given until November 28 to provide his response to the charges. Since his arrival at Turf Moor, he has made 50 appearances in all competitions, netting one goal.
