Katima Mulilo:Newly promoted North East First Division side Bush Bucks FC showcased their strong form with a convincing 3-0 victory over Sparks Sparkling FC at the Katima Mulilo Sports Complex on Sunday. This win marked a successful weekend for the team, which also secured a 3-0 triumph against Real Cheetah FC on Saturday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the standout performance came from new signing Santos Sibolile, who scored a hat-trick in Saturday's match against Real Cheetah FC. The 22-year-old forward, who joined from Shooting Stars, continued his impressive form by scoring twice on Sunday. Left winger Masule Liseli added the third goal, securing a comfortable lead by halftime.

The weekend's victories were a morale boost for head coach Budstyn Mutau as the team prepares for the upcoming season. Mutau's squad earned promotion following a successful campaign in the 2025/26 Namport Zambezi Regional Second Division League and a competitive play-off in July.

Despite the successful pre-season, Mutau remains cautious about the challenges in the higher division. He expressed optimism about facing new competitors, stating that while the road ahead won't be easy, Bush Bucks FC is ready for the challenge.

To further assess their readiness, the club has engaged in pre-season matches against Namibia Premiership teams, including Eeshoke Chula Chula FC, to gauge their competitiveness against top-tier opposition.
