Windhoek: Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture, Dino Ballotti, on Tuesday launched the first edition of Campus Connect, a student-led magazine aimed at amplifying young voices and fostering creativity across Namibia's higher learning institutions. The magazine, co-founded by Shinana Nghixulifwa, seeks to provide a platform for students to share stories, showcase talent, and exchange ideas across campuses and disciplines. It will feature content ranging from academic achievements to arts, entrepreneurship, and social issues affecting student life.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Ballotti commended the initiative as a practical example of youth innovation and determination. He emphasized the potential of Campus Connect to grow into a powerful national platform for positive student narratives. Ballotti encouraged students to take ownership of the magazine, share unique campus stories, and explore revenue opportunities through advertising and partnerships. He urged young people to turn ideas into action rather than waiting for the 'perfect moment'.

Nghixulifwa described the launch as the realisation of a vision conceived through online brainstorming sessions and collaborative planning. He emphasized that Campus Connect is not just a publication, but a movement focused on connection, creativity, and community.

The launch event was attended by students, educators, and supporters. Ballotti further challenged the team to expand the concept to include high school learners, tapping into Namibia's large youth population. Nghixulifwa added that the magazine aims to act as a bridge connecting students across campuses and communities, amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.
