Windhoek: Bruno Henrique and Leo Pereira scored second-half goals as Flamengo eased to a 2-0 away win over Independiente del Valle in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores quarterfinal.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Brazilian side took the lead just after the hour when Henrique tapped in at the far post following Samuel Lino's cross. Pereira doubled the advantage shortly after, rising highest to meet Emerson Royal's cross with a header into the far corner.

The Ecuadorian club controlled more than 60 percent of the total possession but could not find a way past goalkeeper Agustin Rossi, who made a series of sharp saves. The decisive second leg will be played at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana Stadium on September 17.
